Valérie : Hello ! My name is Valérie. Can you please in few words introduce you?

Bert Heerink : I am a much to complex person to explain myself in a few words but perhaps I should stick to my profession.... I am the formar singer from Vandenberg, from Kayak and still singing as a solo artist. Even working on a tour around the new album "Better Yet".

Valérie : After the split up of Vandenberg what's hapen in your carrer?

Bert Heerink : I was lucky to have a solo carreer in Holland for quite some time. Also Kayak asked me in 1999 to start there as the new frontmen, which I did for 5 years. I also love to work with big orchestras and do so quite often. Find out about the tour "Symphonic Echoes of Pink Floyd"on the internet; that was really wonderfull!

Valérie : Can you speak to us about the working atmosphere for this album?

Bert Heerink : Working with Michael Voss has been such a great experience! He works very efficient, is very precise and always has this sunny mood.... I really loved to work with him! 

Valérie : If you had to choose just one song from your new album to talk about your album, which would be and why?

Bert Herrink : It would defenitly be "Panic Attack" because it is a very catchy song. Modern with a bit eighties, super! It feels a bit like the Dutch band Brainbox ( with Jan Akkerman)that I am a huge fan from

Valérie : What are your favourite bands?

Bert Heerink : Brainbox, 30 Seconds To Mars, Nirvana

Valérie : Will you make a tour?

Bert Heerink : Yes, the tour will start in December and will be called "Better Yet and More...". I am so lucky to have the best possible musicians in my band and hope to tour not only through Holland but do some Europian Festivals or cities as well!

Valérie : What bands gave you the desire to be a musician?

Bert Heerink : Mostly Kaz Lux did, the singer from Brainbox

Valérie : What do you think of the return of the famous bands of 80 years as EUROPE, WHITE LION or MOTLEY CRUE?

Bert Heerink : If a band is in good shape and health and the music is still there then why not? The fans definitley like it and a band may even win some new public if they only stick to what they are good in: never change a winning team....

Valérie : If you had to choose a Metal Female singer to do so  a duet with you on a title, who you would choose and why?

Bert Heerink : It would be Alanis Morrisette, not really metal perhaps but absolutely interesting. She has this unusual sound you wether like or hate and I sure like it!

Valérie : For you, in your wildest dreams, you like to do the open show of which band?

Bert Heerink : In the eighties we ( Vandenberg) were the opener of Ozzie Osbournes show in the States: I would like to do that again....

Valérie : I leave you the last word, if you have something to add, don't hesitate!

Bert Heerink : I would love to play with the band in France someday! Please nominate me for support act BonJovi on 16th June and I'll be there in Paris. Till then I hope French fans enjoy the album "Better Yet"a lot!
