    Joey Tempest, true name Joakim Larsson was born on August 19, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:metricconverter w:st="on" ProductID="1963 in">1963 in</st1:metricconverter> Stockholm in Sweden.<o:p></o:p>

    Before becoming the artist whom one knows, Joey when he was child, played the foot, hockey and made competitions of karting (it even became 4th with a competition of championship junior in Sweden).<o:p></o:p>

    At 7 years, Joey learns how to play of the guitar, a friend of its father Rolf teaches him the three basic agreements.<o:p></o:p>

    At 10 years, after having heard a song of Elton John to the radio which gave him the desire for learning, it learns the piano alone, with the ear. It found its first love: to write songs. Joey is also inspired by Elvis and David Bowie.<o:p></o:p>

    At 11 years, after having obtained its first electric guitar, Joey its first group called forms "Jet".<o:p></o:p>

    At 13 years, Joey sees its first concert, it acts of "Electric Light Orchestra" in Ice Stadium of Stockholm.<o:p></o:p>

    Then Joey takes part in several groups: Blazer, Made in Hong Kong, Roxane...<o:p></o:p>

    In 1979, it meets John Norum and together, they create the Force group. They are influenced by Thin Lizzy, UFO, Deep Purple... Quickly, success is with go and, in 1982, the girl friend of Joey sends a demonstration to a contest: a great musical competition: the Rock'n'roll SM. The first price is the recording of an album: result: Force changes its name for Europe and gains the first price!<o:p></o:p>

    1982 to 1992 : to see bio Europe<o:p></o:p>

    1993 : Joey sings and Co-writing with John Norum "We will Be strong" who is reproduced on the album of John "Face the truth" as well as the title "Counting one your love".<o:p></o:p>

    1995 : Joey leaves its first album solo: "A place to call home", the tone changed, it is inspired by Neil Young, Van Morrisson, Jackson Browne. The album is produced per daN Sundquist and is recorded in Stockholm and London with Swedish musicians. On one of the titles: "Right to respect", Joey finds John Norum who comes to play there of the guitar.<o:p></o:p>

    "A place to call home" was platinum disc in Sweden and was very well sold internationally. Joey makes its first round solo which will pass by Scandinavia, Belgium and Italy. Joey will be nominated for Gramy in the category "Better artist Swedish".<o:p></o:p>

    4 individual will be drawn from the album: "A places to call home", "Under the influence", "We come aliv", "Don' T go changing one me".<o:p></o:p>

    In 1997 the second album leaves Joey entitled "Azalea places", Joey went to Nashville and the producer is Richard Dodd. "The Match", "The one in A glass" and "Yew i' D only known" left into individual "The Match" became immediately one of the songs most diffused with the radio in Sweden. The album became gold disc.<o:p></o:p>

    Joey took part in Mike Batt' S Philarmonia (the largest show of all time with a symphony orchestra), it interprets "Born to run" of Bruce Springsteen.<o:p></o:p>

    1999/2000: to see bio Europe<o:p></o:p>

    To the autumn 2002 leaves the third album Joey entitled "Joey Tempest". The recording starts in London and finishes in Stockholm with Swedish musicians. Joey finds there his/her friend Mic Michaeli who has Co-writing 3 titles with him.<o:p></o:p>
